Yesterday Ian and i went for a hike up Deer Valley with the "snurfboards" on our packs. We were pleased to find super deep powder on the "ski only" runs which have yet to open for the winter season. It was an amazing day for November here in Utah.

What do you do for grip and what type of boots are you using?

We took a few old snowboards and cut swallow tails in them- Then glued some car mats with good grip to the topsheet.
Sorrel type boots work great, anything warm with good ankle articulation...
